UnStrander reads your iCloud-synced Voice Memos library on your Mac and analyzes, transcribes, categorizes, and organizes it into a searchable library, running locally on your device. An optional title service generates suggested titles from limited transcript text. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use the Service. The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Some features, such as beta access and the title service, may require you to provide an email address and to activate a valid license through our third-party licensing and payments provider. You are responsible for the information you provide, for keeping your license and credentials secure, and for all activity under your account or license. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

UnStrander runs on your Mac and requires Full Disk Access to read the Voice Memos library synced to your device. It reads that library without modifying it, and your original Voice Memos remain untouched. Your audio is analyzed locally and is not uploaded to us for analysis, transcription, or titling.

When you generate a title, UnStrander sends a limited amount of transcript text — not the recording — to the title service. If you enable the optional device-sync feature, audio you send from another device is temporarily relayed through our cloud storage to reach your Mac and is then deleted. How we handle this information is described in our Privacy Policy, which also governs your use of the Service.

You agree not to use the Service to:

• violate any law or regulation, or infringe the rights of others;
• process content you do not have the right to process, or submit unlawful content;
• attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, decompile, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its title service; or
• circumvent licensing, usage limits, or other technical protections.

You retain ownership of your recordings, transcripts, and other content you create or submit (“Your Content”). Your recordings and their transcripts stay on your Mac. When you use the title service, you grant us a limited license to process the transcript text you submit solely to generate a suggested title and provide the Service to you. You are responsible for Your Content and for ensuring you have the right to submit it.

The Service, including its software, design, and trademarks, is owned by Nudgebase and protected by applicable laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to our intellectual property except the limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service as permitted here.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Transcription and title suggestions are generated automatically and may be incomplete or inaccurate, particularly for rough or sung recordings. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nudgebase will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months before the claim.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Nudgebase from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your use of the Service, Your Content, or your violation of these Terms.

You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the app, and you may request deletion of the account, beta, or license information we hold. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
